A massive shout out to fellow West Cornwall maniac Lowey for bagging Surfer of the Year at this year’s international Big Wave Awards in LA.
“This one’s for all the kids out there who’ve come from nothing, nowhere, skint, struggling at school, everyone saying you’ve got no chance.”
Going by how many times Lowey’s nearly killed himself pushing the limits in big waves the last coupla decades the title’s long overdue, but better late than never suppose. We like to think tearing up the Love Riot dance floor occasionally over the years was a vital part of his training regime either way. Well done brother!
