Safe to say it’s been one of the wettest January’s on record in West Cornwall. Not because of the relentless storms though. There’s been a far more dangerous development…
As always, there’s been a number of factors contributing to the impressively high levels of alcohol intake in Porthleven of late. But the main one, and perhaps the one thing that could have the biggest impact on 2016 overall, is that Love Riot team rider Baron Von Frappington, arguably one of the nation’s finest party animals, has just been made manager at The Ship Inn.
Yep, that’s right, the pub that’s also dangerously close to our office.
Also the pub where Flora The Cow famously went for a quiet pint with Baron and the boys last Xmas.
Flora’s not popped back yet, but all kinds of other weird sh#t’s been kicking off. Glitter fights, wrestling matches, you name it. 2016 is definitely off to a flying start round these parts!
One factor that’s probably stopped things from going completely off the rails though, is that many of the usual maniacs have migrated for the winter months.
Such as Josh Clark spotted getting spiritual up the top of a fu¢k off great mountain in Thailand…
Orch and Tom opted for another type of spirit in Bali …Rum to be precise.
There’s been loads of other developments behind the scenes at Love Riot we’re gagging to tell you about, but all will be revealed in due course. We might even have an interview with The Baron for you too.
